There are two types of silence. There are those who work silently. They listen to others carefully and with good intent. They speak only when necessary. They are doers. These are good people to associate with. Then there are those who keep silence with a purpose; to hide things. They are not transparent. They too listen to others but not out of respect but to know their plan so that they can plan their defence. They are suckers. Be wary of such people. They are not trustworthy at all. Be the first type, not the other one.
Research has proved that being optimistic helps. When you exhibit positivity you are filled with extra energy. It even makes you more lucky. Sometimes, people may laugh at you for being optimistic in every situation. Still, dont give up your habit. Yes, things won’t always work out in your favor. Yet, it’s better to lose being an optimist than win being a pessimist. Being an optimist is a gift you have. Preserve it till your last breath.
Our current job or activity is sometimes the biggest obstacle to try something new. We somehow come to believe that we have developed a sort of expertise in what we do. Also, since the going is good we don’t want to disturb it. This results in creativity being killed and innovation becomes out of question. The fear of venturing into new waters is also frightening. Yet, we must challenge ourselves. We must not live a status quo life. Learn a new skill. Start a new venture. Change the course of your life. Plan a new innings.
Everyone who walked their dream regretted. They wished they started early. They said the fear of failure and insecurity of future existed only till they took the first step forward. What about you? What is stopping you? You are not getting any younger. You can’t plan this whole life and execute it in the next. Also, the road to fulfillment of soul is one way. There are no diversions. There are no safety net. You can’t have a backup plan. If you looking for assurance, you must know; you have the best card to play all in now.
It’s a premium group. Everyone wants to be a part of it. The queue is long. The people inside look like jokers but they are known as trendsetters. They don’t know how to respect a human soul but they have high connections. I am also trying to get in. It’s like a status symbol. It’s a gateway to instant recognition from people in the community. The group is not my type but it will give me instant branding. It’s a trade off. It will hurt my self respect to listen to fools but it will do a lot of good to my future.
I have enough to have a peaceful sleep. Still, I remain awake making plans to own the world. I am way above many. Still, I am running hard to beat a few who are ahead of me. I have a few friends who will be beside me for life. Still, I am adding many more every day just to be on the safer side. I am scoring high on self test. Still, I have enrolled for the world’s assessment. I am happy with my walk but I am participating in the competition because they are saying; it’s the race that matters.
Dump it. It’s of no use anymore. It’s dragging you. It’s time to let it go. Kill it once and for all and you can breathe fresh air. What you think is to be your self esteem is infact a large ego. Today, you are guarding it with all your might and it is growing fatter by the day. Tomorrow, it will become so big that it will dwarf all your effort to get rid of it. What ego does is that it mixes with self respect and confuse you. That’s how it lives. Be strong. Cut it and throw it out now or else it will empower you in such a way that you will remain it’s prisoner for life.
Everyone is giving their opinion. I am feeling left out and so I must come out with my views. I am not an expert on the matter, nor the subject interests me. Yet, being silent may be treated as my ignorance and so I must register my thoughts in public. Sometimes, it becomes important for me to voice my opinion because people expect it and I must keep alive the tradition. I rarely give attention to other people’s opinion but I am sure people die to know my views as it makes so much sense.
The world recognises those who talk. A high premium is given to them for being outspoken. They get the audience. They get the red carpet treatment. The world looks at them in awe. That’s the way it is. However, most of it may not be deserving. Don’t be intimidated by them. They speak because you listen intently. Without you, they will fall flat on the ground. You have your own place in the world. You are the doer. You have the responsibility to move the world. Even they know the power of your silence. They exist because of you, not the other way round.
Many people ask for opinion but they don’t value the response unless it matches their own thought. They become defensive. In fact, they only look for endorsement of their own views. That’s the reason they don’t learn. That’s the reason they are stuck where they are. Having a solid self view is good but if you ask for other people’s opinion, you must give it a serious thought. It will give you diversity and strengthen your own thinking. So, the next time you have a question, you should be willing to listen.
