  • This is quite amusing

    February 10th, 2019

This is quite amusing. We want to go east but choose west because they want us to follow them. We want to adopt simplicity but buy luxury because it gives us a standing in society. We want to play music but sell steel because that’s what makes us successful in the eyes of people. We want to read philosophy but do masters in electronics because that’s what gives us the job. We are all the same but prefer to call ourselves different because that lifts our ego. We talk about courage but are scared to choose a life of our own choice.

  • Self made people are different

    February 9th, 2019

Self made people are different. More so, if they are humble. If you happen to get an opportunity to engage with them, cancel all your commitments and be with them. They speak words of wisdom. They will fill you with optimism. They tell you your real worth. They will believe in you more than you do yourself. Since they reached high they will motivate you to aim higher. When you meet them they will fire you up. Never let this fire extinguish. They won’t ask you for anything but you must pay them back by proving right their belief in you,

  • Symbolic relationship

    February 8th, 2019

She won’t understand. Even if she does, she will pretend not to understand. Therefore, there is no point in explaining his side of the story. May be she feels the same way. They are together, yet somewhere along the way they parted. All that is left is a symbolic relationship. Both of them want to make things work again but can’t make the first move. Ego has overtaken and it will be treated as conceding to the other person. They are hoping against hope to wake up one day and things are sorted. They are waiting. Many times, it doesn’t work. Sometimes, it does.

  • Some decisions will always go wrong

    February 7th, 2019

Decision making consumes a lot of energy. It all happens inside the mind and so not visible but it could drain us out. Many times, we are under stress even after a decision has been long made. This may be because of our conflict of interest or unrealistic expectations. One way to cut mental fatigue is to decide on the basis of what is right and what is wrong. Some decisions will always go wrong but if we make others the larger beneficiary than self, we can think with more clarity and connect the dots faster. The problem is not with decision making. It is our own expectations that makes it difficult.

  • I prefer freedom

    February 6th, 2019

I don’t want to have a particular image in front of the world. It restricts my freedom. Humans are very possessive about their image and identity. They want to protect it at any cost. I have found this trait to be restrictive in nature when it comes to our own potential. It acts as a restraint to experience and explore new things. That’s why I never settle down with one thing. I keep myself open. I contradict myself. I rewrite the rules of living. I do a few unexpected things to break the routine. Having an image is like a prison. I prefer freedom.

  • Respect is given and received

    February 5th, 2019

Having an identity is a human need and there is nothing wrong with it. However, many individuals try to impose their identity on others. They want people to recognize their power, position and social standing. For this, they try to dominate. They resort to all means even if unfair and disgraceful. They use their authority to embarrass and humiliate others. This is such a bad way to feed the hunger of self ego. May be we all do it at times. So, it’s important to revisit our own behaviour and response. Respect is given and received, never demanded.

  • Cut down on networking

    February 4th, 2019

Cut down on networking. Many of us have the urge to connect with as many people as possible so that they might be useful to us one day. It’s never one way. It creates a lot of stress too because we also have to remain available to them. Since there is no real connection, we fake our interest in them not realizing that it’s the same from the other side too. Rather, focus of few relationships which can last a lifetime. They are a source of happiness and fulfillment. Lifelong relationships are based on the feeling of being ‘wanted’, not ‘used’.

  • Start afresh

    February 3rd, 2019

There is so much clutter in life. There are so many layers covering our mind and soul that we have forgotten our real identity. Everyday, it’s getting worse. Clean the slate. Wipe off everything. Reboot the memory. Start afresh. Design your life from the beginning again Opt for a life of choice. It’s not so difficult. It’s a matter of courage. It’s not late if you turn back today. Don’t listen to anyone. Hear your own voice. You will get the direction.

  • Aspirations to grow

    February 2nd, 2019

We all have aspirations to grow. We all have the urge to achieve something meaningful. We work hard. We cross the hurdles. We make it. We are called successful. The world claps wherever we go. And then, a few continue the journey. They continue to rise. They become the icons. And some take the turn. They leave the limelight. They go into oblivion in search of a deeper meaning of life. With time the world forgets them and they least care. It’s not about who wins. It’s not about who is right. It’s not upto the world to decide. It’s an individual choice.

  • I don’t try to be ‘me first’

    February 1st, 2019

I am usually late. I don’t try to be ‘me first’. I take my time to analyze things. I wait for the flow of information to be over. I let the experts finish. I have seen; the sky doesn’t fall if I wake up a little late. Instead, it mostly results in clouds making way for a clear sunny day. Yes, I don’t get the credit for being fast and right. But they know, I don’t leave confusion on the table with my observations. Being a little late in a few areas saves me a lot of time too. I can therefore afford to sleep a little more. I therefore live a little more.
