  • Promises made must be fulfilled

    March 2nd, 2019

Promises made must be fulfilled. When we break a commitment, we break the trust of the other person. Sometimes, it has a short term effect. Sometimes, the life of the other person changes forever and we are responsible for it. Even if we take it lightly and forget the incidence, it can never be erased. It will haunt us later. May be years later. May be decades later. There may be no re-course to correct it then. Make good every promise you make. Fulfilling a promise is not a matter of celebration. It’s our moral obligation.

  • Freedom

    March 1st, 2019

It’s difficult to break away from the rules of society. We talk about freedom but we are still a prisoner of our history, culture and beliefs. We are afraid of talking about it because we fear we will have to face a lot of criticism and offence. So, everyone is a silent follower of the norms which have been existent since centuries even if we do not approve of it. Silence of majority then endorses it’s validity and we pass it on to our next generation and make them prisoners from birth. Even if we start the change today, it will take centuries for it take effect. We will all be dead by then and so we do nothing about it. And so, mankind will remain a prisoner for ever.

  • He gets the credit

    February 28th, 2019

He gets the credit. He gets the claps. He remains humble. He remains grounded. He accepts with gratitude the love and respect he gets from the world. Yet, he knows; there is an invisible force which is working behind. He himself doesn’t know what changed him over the years. His actions and attitude are inspired but it is difficult to pin point the source of inspiration. He knows he is not the right person to keep the honour he receives. He therefore passes it on to that invisible power and that source of inspiration which remains nameless but is a guiding force in his life.

  • Never give up

    February 27th, 2019

Never give up. Sometimes, it may seem like everything is over. Still, never concede. Even if you feel like losing the battle, be calm and hold your emotions. Never let your opponent get any hint of your weakness. Even if you are up against God, stand tall and give him a fight. You know your melting point, not your opponent. It’s possible for them to step back right before you give in. Many times, challenges you face will respect your courage and turn around. Never give up. Never.

  • To claim is easy. To contribute is tough.

    February 26th, 2019

We jump on every opportunity to take the credit. When things go right, we go to any extent to establish our connection with the event and claim credit. We are equally fast in detaching ourselves from activities which did not yield good results. This behaviour stems from our urge to prove our worth infront of the world. Mostly, this is done by people who lack capability and have identity crisis. Ironically, people who deserve the clap shun the limelight and those who do nothing claim the crown. To claim is easy. To contribute is tough.

  • Being a follower is not bad

    February 25th, 2019

Being a follower is not bad. If your leader is wise and courageous, you can learn a lot. However, if the person you follow is incapable to lead, you must take a different route. Sometimes, people follow someone because they see their own benefit which they derive from being connected. In order to protect their own interest they appreciate their leader in public though they themselves criticise in private. Take a bold step. Follow those whom you admire from inside but cut your ties with those who are guided by wrong intent. Follow your heart, not a bad leader.

  • Take a test of freedom

    February 24th, 2019

Take a test of freedom. Can you sleep when you feel like it? Can you call it a day when you feel like watching a movie in the middle of the day? Can you go for a holiday without any advance planning? Are you able to make it home on time for dinner with kids? Are you able to find time to do your routine exercises? Freedom of time is a luxury few people have. If you are money rich, make sure you spend it on buying time. Freedom comes from time. Be time rich.

  • I promise myself to do better

    February 23rd, 2019

I feel so sad that I engage in activities which I am not very proud of. It concerns me even more because I have the ability to do the right things and yet, I fall prey to my evil side and short term thinking. Afterwards, a feeling of guilt envelopes me. I promise myself to do better. Things go well for some time. With the passage of time, I become weak again. The whole process starts again. I forgive myself again saying that I am after all a human. But yes, things are improving. Hopefully, one day I will be able to have better control.

  • Never stop

    February 22nd, 2019

Positive change happens for sure for people who make a conscious effort. While it is slow but it compounds over time, making it extremely powerful. We may not feel the difference because we witness the tiny incremental changes everyday. But when we look back years and decades, we can see it for ourselves. Contrary to this, the outside world notices it faster. The success and growth we achieve is the result of continuous improvement. It may seem that we suddenly hit the jackpot but it’s not the case. It’s the refinement of our play for months and years which swings the pendulum in our favor. Never stop. You are next in line to win the pot.

  • Ability to trust

    February 21st, 2019

The ability to trust is a quality few people have. Some people will ditch you but most will preserve your faith in them. We must not form an attitude to distrust everyone just because a small number of people take advantage of us. We can get a lot more done and achieve a lot more when we shift our attention from monitoring people to focusing on other important things in life. It’s an art to trust people. It’s requires a different mindset. For some people the tendency to trust is in built. Others can and should learn it.
