Being realistic comes from past experience and achievements. Dreamers look into the unknown future. Being realistic is playing safe. Dreaming is the real play. Being realistic should just be the starting point and not the goal. When dreams are achieved, they become realistic for the rest of the world. So the question is – you want to live in the past or take a shot at the unknown future.
Before we call ourselves independent, think again. We judge others on the basis of certain benchmark we create for them. We hardly realise the fact that the same happens to us. We ourselves try to achieve the benchmark which is not ours but created by others. We live consciously but our actions are mostly influenced by our sub conscious mind which is a slave of society and the outside world. The man who is free is rich. The man who is controlled is poor.
He didn’t want it to go away. This was his only possession. Her thoughts. Her want. Her closeness. Her feel. Though all of it were not real. Still, he lived as if he belonged to her. The world was an illusion to him. She seemed to be real. You can take everything away from a man but faith. He made no effort to convince the world. He made no effort to search her. She exists, within him.
It doesn’t make sense to accommodate everyone in your life by changing your own course. No matter how hard you try, you will not be able to witness a perfect world nor will you be able to make everyone happy. Don’t do things which others want you to do. Rather, live life on your own terms. This way you will inspire more people than otherwise.
Do you think you don’t stand a chance? You are wrong. You have the power to change the world, let alone you. Start with positivity and you will see half of the challenges going away. To get to the top you first need to come out of the hidden shell. To stand a chance you first must take the chance. The thing is, if you are the first person to believe yourself, I will be the second person to believe you.
Focus on few things. Ignore the rest. That’s the key to make big impact. Generally, we keep our options open and explore too many things. We do this because we fear ‘what if’ we don’t hit success in a few things that we focus on. When we divide our attention and effort in many things, we reduce the possibility of big success in any of the thing. Yes, there is risk of failure but there is no other way. If you wish to achieve excellence in one thing, you must be willing to give up the option of many things.
He was a successful lawyer. One of the most sought after. For his age, it was rare. He had worked hard for this. Yet, he felt hollow within. It took him some time but he took the call he longed for. He quit. No one had a clue why. He did not plan an alternative. Walking alone in the park, he was feeling independent and happy. He was not sure what the future had in store for him but he knew one thing. The first step to doing things you love is to stop doing the things you hate. He had taken the first step.
There is a good news. I am participating in a race. The name of the race is ‘Life’s Race’. Wish me luck. I want to win. I want to be the fastest. I want to be the best. Initially, I didn’t want to participate but they told me it’s a must. Everyone races. If I don’t, I will be left behind. So, I am ready. I am happy now but they say I will be happier when I win the race. I am not sure but it seems to be the right thing to do because everyone is racing.
You must bend to jump higher. There is no such thing that will allow you to go up and up and up. When you reach a certain point, the inertia to go further up comes from bending down. To bend is not conceding. In fact, it is a must to go further up. Consider bending as lows of life which essentially fuels you to jump higher. So, the next time you feel life is not fair to you and things are not going right, it can actually be an opportunity to derive more strength to fly higher.
We preach forgiveness but we are expert in taking revenge. If you don’t vote for me, I won’t vote for you. If you don’t acknowledge my view, I won’t support your thoughts either. If you hurt my feelings, I would look for an opportunity to salt your wound. It somehow remains in our sub conscious mind to make the account even. Forgiveness at all times may be taken as weakness, though revenge too is not the solution. Instead; avoid conflicts. Ignore things. Look for peace.
