We see what we want to see and so it is important to tune our mind to see positivity. Everyone has certain shortcomings. It is not necessary to look at them all the time. It induces negativity. It also in a way sends out a message hinting that we are better than others. Looking at the brighter side creates a lot of positive energy and helps move forward. Now look at love…it is blind. It ignores a lot of imperfections and probably that is why it lasts long.
In the beginning everything is an idea. It will be tough when you take the first step. Then it will get messy in the middle. Only when you persist a little longer, glory shall await you. The way to building something worthwhile is almost always experimental, risky, challenging and requires fanatic discipline. If you have the perseverance to continue, the results are almost always awesome.
He lives his own life. No one understands him. He also doesn’t understand them. He never cared. They think he is not one among them. They are right. He wanders in a different world. A creation of his own. He is in search of some answers. Answers which this world is unable to give. Answers he must find himself. He may not get them in a lifetime. Still, it is worth living a life searching them rather than those who never asked any questions.
We want the world to follow us, though we may not openly accept. This has its own consequences. It induces us to follow the world. We deliberately start doing things to impress the world. This itself is contrary to our pursuit of wanting the world to follow us. We pay attention to people so that they pay us the desired attention. It’s like give and take. It won’t help. In fact, it takes years of dedication and sincerity to walk your way without wanting people to notice you. Once you do, you will find the crowd behind.
Tomorrow never comes. Still, you have another chance today. To cut the clutter in life and move in the direction you always wanted to. Re-assess your priorities. Go after what makes you happy, not what makes you successful in the world’s eye. Don’t allow others to judge you. Listen to your own conscience. Once you know your path, have courage to walk on.
He doesn’t answer. He has none. He is a man of questions, without words. He observes and thinks. He can solve the biggest puzzle but gets confused with what people say. He is never sure what they really mean. The world calls him a fool. He is not disturbed. His quest to know more continues. He wants to remain a fool. A silent fool, in search of his answers.
Many a times, we are not able to grab a bigger opportunity just because we fear that we will lose what we already have. As they say, good is the enemy of better. The apprehension of losing is more than the excitement of creating something better. A lot of human potential is lost because we prefer to preserve what is acquired rather than building something more meaningful. The quest for excellence must never die. We must use our potential to the fullest.
People are so mean these days. They would kill for a living. They justify their sinful act giving irrational explanations. They would break the rules with the drop of a hat without having any guilt about it. The only thing that matters is to get ahead in the race. While I was thinking about this, my heart skipped a beat. I had the worst realisation of my life. I noticed, I am the so called ‘people’.
She is there. In his life. Invisible to the world. Only he can see. With his eyes closed. She doesn’t exist in the real world. May be she does. There are no rules in his life except one; to meet her in his dreams every night. Her wish is his command. He wakes up each morning to fulfill the promises he made to her. Once the day is over, he waits for the dreams to meet her again.
I am a good man. It’s just that I am smart too. I have worked out a good deal with my mind. When I do things as they should be done, I qualify being a good man. When I bend the rules in my favor, I tell my mind that it’s ok and I am just being practical. I call this smartness. My mind always accepts what I tell him because it was me who made the rules. So, either I am a good man or I work smartly. There is no third thing.
