Time and again you will run into someone who is considered to be wizard. The best in the game. In such situations it is easy to concede before the fight begins. But remember one thing. Nobody becomes the best on day one. It’s hard work. Someone you think is unbeatable today also faced a strong opponent at some point of time. Nobody is invincible for ever. Respect your opponent but never be intimidated by anyone. It’s them today. It will be you tomorrow.
The happiness equation is simple. What is most dear to you in the world and how much time do you give to it. If you think circumstances are not allowing to have this equation right, you are confusing yourself. It simply means your priorities are not right. We somehow convince ourselves of living a deferred life so that we can enjoy things tomorrow. Get things straight before it’s late. Identify what you love most, allocate time to it and bring it in your daily routine. Living a choice life is in your hand. Exercise it.
Sometimes, challenges will surround you from all sides. You will wonder whether you deserved all of it. Still, you have to face it. Initially, you will feel clueless how to handle things. Yet, you will. What we forget is that our strength multiplies in times of crisis. Our resolve to fight unfavorable circumstances reaches new heights. Standing up itself breaks the challenges into half. The other half is just a matter of time. Be strong. Challenges are there to test you, not to break you. Never give up. You will emerge victorious.
Many of us live a default life. Though we don’t find things interesting but over a period of time we start convincing ourselves that we love what we do. There is a trend going on that we must be passionate about our work and it feels unworthy to talk otherwise. Therefore we exaggerate our stories. Our response is nothing but a convenient way to misguide ourselves and confuse the world. Stop it. It’s alright to admit that we have still not found the purpose of life and something we are passionate about. It’s better to keep looking for it rather than settling for a default life.
Be fearless. It adds glitter to your performance. It also takes the pressure off you. When you are not running to achieve something, you can accomplish even more. When you are not worried about the result, you can end up innovating more. When you don’t care what others think about you, you get the world’s honor. When you live as if you have nothing to lose, you get everything you deserve.
Growth is life. Absolutely. But not by applying means which are not right. Who decides whether such means are right or not? You. We can grow fast and grow big. We may garner the world’s appreciation too. But if it involves unethical ways, we won’t enjoy such success because it will add a lot of guilt in our own conscience. A life of self dignity is much more valuable than all the artificial appreciation which we know is not deserved.
Real artists don’t charm the audience with their performance. They do so with their practice. What may have started as an aspiration to win, converts into an obsession to learn. The focus shifts from appreciation to challenging their own limits. It reaches a point where they become unaware of the audience. It’s just they and their craft. It has it’s own side effects. In the midsts of crowd they are alone. They live in their own world of imagination. They pay the price of perfection. It’s a one way street. Once you embark on it, there is no coming back.
Loyalty commands a premium. Though it takes time, the payoff is big. Whether you are a customer or a supplier or whether you an employee or the CEO; when you stay committed to the other party in thick and thin, you earn trust which is priceless. It keeps on building and when time comes, you are rewarded beyond your wildest dreams. You can’t demand guarantees. It works on the principal of belief and your everyday actions should be independent of expectations. The reward of loyalty works differently. You get it only when you least expect it.
Do you like to be in the news? Do you eagerly wait for your name to be called? Are you always excited to walk up the stage? Well, there is no harm in all this but may be, you can practice the opposite. Strike your name from the news. Prefer a seat in the audience. Step back from the world of glamour. It will help you focus more on your craft. It will allow you to become more innovative. Remember, someone once said; a lot can be achieved if it doesn’t matter who gets the credit.
Most of the things fall in place in life. Still, we are upset about a few which don’t. Take it easy. No one gets it all right. You may feel things that didn’t work out were more crucial and important. This is because you don’t consider things that went off well. The combination of success and failures is an ideal mix. Feel blessed for things that went your way and also feel lucky for things that didn’t because maybe, they could have been worse.
