It is worth dedicating a whole life for a single cause

Martin Luther King, Mahatma Gandhi, Steve Jobs, Mother Teresa. What’s common about all of them?

They all dedicated their lives for a single cause.

There are many others who are not known to us. Like that teacher in a remote village; whose sole purpose is to educate all the children in the village. Like that doctor; who leaves his successful practice in a big city, opens a clinic in a sub-urban area to treat poor patients for free. Like that woman who rose from the daily chores of her house to spread awareness of STD in a red light area and fighting for the protection of sexually abused children.

It’s not about the scale of the activity that you do or achieve. It’s about the difference that you can make in your own way that satisfies you and gives meaning to your life. What matters in life is to be able to do what gives you inner peace and gives you a sense of pride. There are a select few who make it to the headlines for their efforts because we believe their contribution helped mankind. But this in no way can undermine the dedication of those unknown names that spend their day and night for a single cause which they find as the true calling of their heart.

What is that single cause you can dedicate your life for?
