I took up 4 challenges for the month of Oct’17.
Here is how I progressed in week 4. I considered the last week as 10 days, the month being October.
Challenge # 1 : I will call a friend every day
Done. I called 10 friends. I spoke to friends all over the country. During the month, I mostly connected with friends I haven’t spoken for long. It was a great experience.
Challenge # 2 : I will write a blog every day
Done. From day 1 I knew this would take a very strong determination and discipline. Yes, I stumbled a few times and could not finish some of the blogs the way I wanted but the key was to write on all days and I did exactly that.
Challenge # 3 : I will watch a Ted Talk every day

Challenge # 4 : I will google about a country every day
Done. I googled 10 different countries. During the month, I chose countries I knew very little or nothing about.
My learning’s during the month
I started with a bang but somewhere in the middle it got tiring and monotonous. I recovered and finished the challenges well. The best part was that I did all of this while along with my other routine activities, like – work, travel, reading, family time, etc. My greatest learning from these challenges was that I still have a lot of time which could be used more effectively. Finally, it gave a tremendous boost to my temperament and ‘we can do a lot’ attitude.
I encourage all to challenge yourself in whatever way you can. It’s a game nobody loses but you win.
